Our second prototype is showing great promise. I'm intent on designing a "first generation" race/xc harness that outperforms the instant you hook in. Soon, Wills WIng will be able to offer a harness that, combined with the T2C, will provide a "top of the stack system" to help you meet all of your hang gliding goals. Stay tuned;-)
Cheers

Re: High Expectations

Hi Jeff. Looks great! Don't forget the 3 major things when buying an harness: 1-Quality:(Use 1st quality materials: E.g Ykk in all zippers, Cordura fabric etc. Don't spare in quality.), 2- Confort(if you have stomach pressure, armpits ''cutted", back unconfortable, design it for long flights, and easy landingsc) a bad word is spread. 3- Performance (it's the 3rd and last) only with the 1st two consolidated you can work for performance. Keep up the good work Cheers. Andre

Re: High Expectations

Nice. I would love to be able to buy such a harness from WW down the road and avoid having to purchase from Italy or Brazil... plus support my favorite manufacturer.

I'll ride out my existing harnesses and eagerly await further news on this!

Re: High Expectations

Looks like a bullet!!
Make sure the chute comes out easy and can be had by both hands. I think this should be 1st prioroty maybe?

Re: High Expectations

Try and work with a magnetic forcefield that will suspend you above the basetube - thus reducing the drag of that pesky hang strap. On second thought -why don't I let you figure it out - you certainly have the brains, experience and expertise to handle it.

Good for you!! You have my support!!

Re: High Expectations

Looks the business. How far down the road is it to final production?
It would have been nice to ave user input, maybe an article in te OzReport?
Options availale, is it going to be "just" and "only" kickass or will it have the
same options tat are available on Woody Valley harness'?
Second parachiute option?
Reinforced bungess in side pockets for securng cameras etc etc

Re: High Expectations

Looks real good... what's inside the pointed end? I've always liked the plastic container in the WoodyValley harnesses...

Re: High Expectations

Besides quality, confort and performance. look also for safety !! harnesses should be safe. good rotation to stand up position, zippers, materials etc. please post more photos.

Re: High Expectations

The quickest way to get a top of the stack harness is to get a top of the stack flyer. The rest is talk.
The quality of manufacture is paramount. This one looks just like its overseas competitors.

Re: High Expectations

Please allow for big feet! I wear light hiking boots for out landing in dinosaur country and just can't fit them into any of the current Euro harnesses. Please, no ballerina toe-pointing!

By Steve Rodrigues on   9/7/2009 8:27 AM

Re: High Expectations

I agree with Steve, room for big feet! And also a pocket for a Camel Back water bag.

Re: High Expectations

Hey look - another cook in the kitchen. :) Give the overseas competitors something to nightmare over when your pointy boot has their eyes crossing looking down the barrel of a gun, son of a gun, son of a bitch, gettin' paid, getting rich.

Make a version with a reservoir "foreskin" tip for the krusty old Dinosaurs flying with leather lead on their talons. I want to feel the crunch of my toe bones foot bound in that box. Size mine up like a straightjacket bitch.

Re: High Expectations

I have been aware of this colaboration with Jeff/WW and waiting/hoping for a finishd product before the end of this year (I am 'in the market' for a new XC harness)... I believe this is our best hope for a quality/tecnically-correct advanced harness...

Chute should be accessible/deployable via either hand... Single-point hang (standing rigging)should have NO slider/gizmo's and be integrally-attached to a small low-back/hip-spreader (or stomach support or BOTH) that allows for automatic/incremental head-up, to full upright for landing, with the manual/hand adjustment/release of an internally cleated fore/aft 'stay/running rigging'... MUST have plenty of adjustable foot space/positions and 'some' room to move/bend/flex knees... Velcro/blow-out zipper(s)... LOOSE/adjustable padded leg straps... Removable/replaceable aero-dynamic skid boot... Ability to partially unzip/pee in the air... Build-in the ability to adjust the hang-length and add/include an integral leg for the chute attachment (perhaps on the adjustment leg/side of the hang strap, i.e. similar to the doubled back-up hang-loop)... Velcro-flap-covered pockets, some that also allow for internal access, with reinforced loops/elastic lanyards for radios/cameras/cell phones/back-up instruments/knife/gloves/drogue chute/etc... Consideration for routing wiring (perhaps built-in conductors) i.e. PTT HAM radios/transponders... Tow loops and easy stowage for v-pulls/releases... Use sleek/UV resistant materials if available/practicable... Of course it should have plenty of glider/harness-bag/spare parts-tools-first aid/rescue/hydration fluids storage... Priced under $2k with all available configurations/colors/materials/options... Good luck...
